Officers said, “Let’s make a welcoming and secure environment.”

Lemmy Kajoba, the inspector general of police, has urged officers to establish a welcoming and secure atmosphere so that all residents and guests can enjoy the holiday season.

Mr. Kajoba noted in his Christmas greeting to police officers and their families that the holiday season is a time for celebration and that every officer has a duty to keep the nation secure during this time.

“I wish to convey my heartfelt Christmas message to all Police officers, the civilian staff and their families.Policing is not an easy undertaking, but together we have managed to make Zambia a peaceful country.  All this can be attributed to your hard work despite a few challenges encountered in the dispensation of our services to the public.
As your Inspector General of Police, I would like to personally thank you together with your family members for your support,” he said.
Since then, he has sent his warmest sympathies to all officers during this unique time of year.
