Pele: Brazil's National Hero Is Hospitalized, but Daughter Says "No Emergency"

Pele, a national hero of Brazil, was admitted to the hospital, but his daughter has stated that there was “no emergency” present.

On Wednesday morning, ESPN Brasil reported that Pele had been brought to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo with “general edema.”

Kely Nascimento, Pele’s daughter, wrote on Instagram that there was “no fresh dire prophesy.”

In September 2021, a colon tumor was removed from Pele, who has since had ongoing care there.

There is a lot of anxiety in the media right now about the health of my father, Nascimento remarked.

He is under pharmacological management in the hospital.

“There is neither a crisis nor a brand-new scary forecast. I’ll be there for New Year’s and will upload pics, I promise.

The 82-year-old was also reportedly experiencing cardiac problems, according to ESPN Brazil, and there are worries that his chemotherapy treatment is not having the desired impact.

Pele is one of only four players to have scored in four World Cup competitions, and the former striker is Brazil’s all-time greatest scorer with 77 goals in 92 appearances.
