Police have detained five people in connection with a theft and break-in that was believed to have occurred at the MUVI Television Station in Lusaka just 24 hours earlier.
A Central Processing Unit, three televisions, a pay point visa machine, and other stolen property have all been found by police.
According to a statement from Danny Mwale, the deputy police public relations officer, all five suspects are being held in police custody as the investigation has become more serious.
Police were alerted about a break-in and felony crime that involved the theft of studio equipment yesterday at 8:00 a.m.
Police arrived at the location and started looking into the situation right away.
The incident is thought to have taken place at the MUVI Television Station, which is situated along Nangwenya Road in the Mass Media region, on December 17, 2022, between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00.
