This comes following Bridge 299’s rehabilitation, which was harmed by a rescue crane accident in Mpika on April 10, 2023.
In a statement released today, CONRAD SIMUCHILE, Head of Public Relations at TAZARA, acknowledged the start of passenger services.
Both the Mukuba and Kilimanjaro Passenger Trains, according to Mr. SIMUCHILE, will operate according to the regular train timetable.
According to him, the trains will leave Tuesday at 16 hours and 1:50 hours from New Kapiri-Mposhi and Dar es Salaam, respectively.
