Tourism Operators Accept Plans To Reduce Amount Of License Fees

The government’s plans to revise the licensing program for tour operators have been welcomed by the Livingstone Tourism Association.

Operators in the industry are currently paying for too many permits, some of which, according to association acting chairperson HILLARY KASHEMPA, are duplicates, he claims.

Although Mr. KASHEMPA is pleased that the Ministry of Tourism has begun discussions on the issue, he insists that the evaluation be completed as soon as possible.

According to him, the review needs to receive the proper attention since operators need relief, especially given that the impacts of the Covid 19 are still being felt. He made this point to ZNBC News.
