For the convenience of students and scholars, the Zambia Research and Education Network (ZAMREN) plans to expand out internet services to public locations like malls.
According to ZAMREN Chief Executive Officer STEIN MKANDAWIRE, the company will expand its internet connectivity to public places like bus stops, airports, and shopping centers where its educational platform EDUROAM can be easily accessed.
He revealed to ZNBC News that ZAMREN has already begun discussing its objectives with neighborhood authorities and mall owners.
JOSPHAT NYIRONGO, a student representative from the University of Zambia, added that having access to the internet is crucial for students because it gives them access to a variety of online study resources.
ZAMREN offers internet services to institutions of higher learning and research for less money than private companies.
