Vice President Mutale Nalumango has assured the nation of the government’s unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability amidst the ongoing Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) investigations. Speaking at a press conference, Nalumango emphasized the administration’s dedication to rooting out corruption and reinforcing public trust in the government’s integrity.

“The government stands firm in its commitment to uphold the principles of transparency and accountability,” Vice President Nalumango stated. “We fully support the efforts of the Anti-Corruption Commission and are dedicated to ensuring that all investigations are conducted thoroughly and impartially.”

Nalumango highlighted that the ACC operates independently and has the government’s full backing in its mission to combat corruption. She reassured the public that no individual, regardless of their position, is above the law and that any allegations of corruption will be addressed with the utmost seriousness.

“The ACC has our full support in carrying out its mandate without fear or favor,” Nalumango continued. “We believe in the importance of a robust and independent anti-corruption body that can investigate and prosecute corruption cases effectively.”

Addressing concerns about the impact of the investigations on government operations, the Vice President assured that the administration remains focused on its development agenda. She called for public patience and trust in the process, emphasizing that the fight against corruption is a collective effort that requires the support of all citizens.

“We understand the concerns and frustrations of the public, but it is crucial to allow the ACC to conduct its work without interference,” she added. “Our administration remains committed to delivering on our promises and ensuring that corruption does not hinder our progress.”

Vice President Nalumango also reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, pledging continued reforms to strengthen anti-corruption measures and promote good governance. She encouraged whistleblowers to come forward and assured them of protection under the law.

“In our pursuit of a corruption-free society, we encourage citizens to report any suspicious activities. Whistleblowers will be protected, and their contributions are vital in this fight,” Nalumango affirmed.

In conclusion, Vice President Mutale Nalumango’s address serves as a strong reassurance to the nation of the government’s dedication to combating corruption. By supporting the ACC and promoting transparency, the administration aims to build a more accountable and trustworthy governance system, fostering public confidence and driving national development forward.
