23-year-old Chambishi woman V8iolated by two men

A manhunt has been started by police in Chambishi for two males who are suspected of alternately raping a 23-year-old resident of Mposambwe Township.

The victim, a saleswoman, told the police that two men she cannot identify sexually assaulted her.

She claimed that the assault took place in an incomplete structure behind an SDA church on Buntungwa Road.

According to Copperbelt Province Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba, the incident happened on Wednesday about 20:30 when the victim was leaving for home from work.

According to Mr. Mweemba, the woman observed two males in black approaching the main road as she was on her way home.]

He claimed that the two suspects pulled her to the unfinished structure, where they sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

“The victim saw two men both putting on black clothes and they coming from a narrow road into the main road that she was using. When they got close to her they dragged her into an unfinished building behind SDA church where they had sex with her one after the other. She failed to shout as her mouth was covered with a cloth. After they finished they ran away,”he said

He said the victim later managed to get dressed and she rushed home.

Mr Mweemba said the victim complained of painful legs,pain in the abdomen and private parts.
