According to REUBEN MTOLO, the minister of agriculture, a number of nations have expressed interest in investing in farming blocks.
According to Mr. MTOLO, Rwanda, Germany, Kenya, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates are just a few of the nations that have expressed interest.
He added, however, that locals are also urged to take part in generating income through agriculture.
Mr. MTOLO indicated that the government would upgrade the faming blocks’ infrastructure and social facilities during a press conference in Lusaka.
Also, Mr. MTOLO revealed that the government and a Kenyan team who are interested in buying maize had a successful discussion.
He added the Zambia National Farmers Union will meet with its members the following week to discuss how the project will be carried out.
