The owner of Ndozo Lodges, CHRINT SICHAMBA, filed a petition with the Lusaka Magistrate Court challenging the legitimacy of the Anti-Corruption Commission’s (ACC) pursuit of his case.

In their application, the defense attorneys WILLIS MUHANGA and CHANDA CHIZWE requested that the court establish the qualifications of the ACC prosecutors, who were chosen by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Mr. SICHAMBA, his wife, EUDORA NAMBELA, and his son, DAVID SICHAMBA, are accused of engaging in corrupt practices involving approximately 781 million kwacha and over $10 million in this case.

133 counts of possession of property considered to be the proceeds of crime are also brought against the defendants collectively.
