After the approval of its application for a foreign operator permit, Zambia Airlines has added a new aircraft to its fleet for its South African route.
Also, the airline plans to launch regular service to South Africa in the second quarter of this year using its recently acquired Boeing 737-800.
The South African development was reported by FRANK TAYALI, Minister of Transport and Logistics.
According to Mr. TAYALI, Zambia Airlines’ expansion into South Africa is a good thing for the nation because it will increase the company’s revenue.
The Walvis Bay-Ndola Lubumbashi corridor and the North-South transport development corridor, both of which are important to the development of the country, include the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway, according to Mr. TAYALI.
On the invitation of Down Touch Investment Limited, a top multi-disciplinary engineering and construction company in South Africa with almost 20 years of experience, he is heading a group of Zambians there.
