Renowned disc jockey, Black Coffee – real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo took to Instagram and marked Christmas Day with a photo of himself and his look-alike son, Esona as seen in a post shared on 25 December. Black Coffee showed his social media friends and followers a glimpse into his Christmas. He was spotted posing alongside his eldest son, Esona, as seen in an Instagram post. Merry Christmas to you and [your] family,” he captioned.
If there is one thing Black Coffee and his son enjoy together besides spending time with one another, it is being behind the decks. Since breaking into the music industry in the early 2000s, the Grammy award-winner and international disc jockey Black Coffee has made hit after hit with songs like Buya, Superman, Drive, and more.
With all that he has learned and achieved over the year in the music business, Black Coffee has seemingly started paving the way for his son, Esona to follow after his footsteps. The duo can often be seen on social media jet-setting around the world and spinning one deck at a time.
Speaking on a Metro FM interview last year, TshisaLIVE quoted Esona as saying: “I’ve been watching him [Black Coffee] do this thing from forever… from nothing. Right now, I’m associated with my father, but I think as time goes by, the differences will start coming out.
