The curriculum should be revised in order to better serve the needs of young people and take into account current global trends, according to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
According to President HICHILEMA, educational institutions shouldn’t subject students to the same lesson plans and learning goals that haven’t changed in a long time.
This was stated by the Head of State during the keynote speech given at the Chipata College of Education’s 11th commencement ceremony.
As a guardian for one of the graduates, SHADERICK ZULU, a physically challenged student from Mambwe District whom the President adopted a number of years ago when he was an opposition leader, he also attended the graduation ceremony.
Mr. ZULU, a blind graduate, received a diploma in primary teaching credit.
Additionally, President HICHILEMA has promised to keep helping Mr. ZULU if he decides to further his study.
Additionally, Chipata College of Education Principal TRESFORD MUSAKANYA praised the government for providing the college with 20 new lecturers in a speech at the same event.
