The arrest of KENNETH CHISAMANGA, a lecturer at Levy Mwanawasa Medical University, by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on suspicion of corruption saddens the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
According to HPCZ Senior Public Relations Officer Terry Musonda, the council is interested in the resolution of the case since it might violate its Act’s definition of professional misconduct.
This, according to Mr. MUSONDA, is due to Mr. CHISAMANGA having a complete registration with the council.
The ACC detained Mr. CHISAMANGA yesterday for accepting more than 16,000 Kwacha in bribes from students to help them pass Continuous Assessment Tests.
