Border Points Will Have Contemporary Facilities

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has instructed his ministry and the Ministry of Finance to enhance infrastructure at Zambia’s key border posts, according to Commerce, Trade, and Industry Minister CHIPOKA MULENGA.

According to Mr. MULENGA, infrastructure development would be prioritized at the border crossings at Kipushi, Mokambo, and Kasumbalesa to ensure smooth traffic movement.

He claims that since the rains have arrived, the Kasumbalesa border is the only entrance point for trucks because Kipushi and Mokambo’s infrastructure cannot handle the high volume of traffic.

The greatest way to relieve traffic congestion at the nation’s main border posts, according to Mr. Mulenga, is to strengthen the country’s infrastructure, he said in a Chingola interview with ZNBC news.
