Britain applauds Zambia’s relief efforts in Malawi

NICHOLAS WOOLLEY, the British High Commissioner to Zambia, has praised the Zambian government for sending aid to Malawi in response to the disastrous floods that have struck the neighboring nation.

According to Mr. Woolley, Zambia’s decision to offer aid worth $1 million demonstrates that it is a friendly neighbor.

Mr. WOOLLEY remarked in a tweet that was seen by ZNBC News in Lusaka that friends should stick together in difficult times.
According to the British envoy, when floods ravaged Zambia last month as well, the UK government released K7 million to aid the severely impacted communities in Eastern Province.

Mr. Woolley claims he personally inspected the area and witnessed the destruction brought on by the floods.
