Businessman from Solwezi discovered dead in his vehicle

After going missing allegedly four days ago, Kapiji Kankasa, 51, was found dead in his automobile by police in the Kalumbila neighborhood.

Danny Mwale, a deputy police public relations officer, verified that Mr. Kankasa was discovered in the passenger seat of a Ford Explorer with the license plate ATB 3120.

Two empty bottles of a pesticide thought to be Doom were also discovered in the car, according to Mr. Mwale.

He claimed that Mr. Kankasa, the owner of Buffalo Wings in Solwezi, was discovered deceased on Sunday at around 15:00 hours in his parked automobile at an unnamed guesthouse in the Kakaindu neighborhood.

According to Mr. Mwale, police inquiries that were launched found that Mr. Kankasa had reserved a room at the guest house where he was supposedly staying for one night.

According to him, Mr. Kankasa was last seen on Wednesday at around 0:00.

Police in North Western province recorded a report of sudden and unnatural death in which a man identified as Mr Kankasa was found dead in his vehicle. Officers were alerted and quickly rushed to the scene where they found the deceased in a seated position on the rear passenger seat of the Ford Explorer registration number ATB 3120. The body was swollen and in a decomposed state,”he said.

According to Mr. Mwale, the body was resting in the mortuary of the Solwezi General Hospital while a postmortem and burial took place.
