Chibamba Kanyama exhorts young people to follow in footsteps of late Felix Banda

Chibamba Kanyama exhorts young people to follow in the footsteps of the late Felix Banda, alias Galamukani, a well-known motivational speaker.

It has been claimed that thankfulness, not mourning, is the best way to honor the deceased.

Economist Chibamba Kanyama has paid tribute to the late renowned motivational speaker Felix Banda, alias Galamukani, who will be laid to rest today, for his impacting “wonderful life” that was founded on courage.

Mr. Kanyama has since urged Zambians to imitate the bravery displayed by the late Mr. Banda, who valiantly passed away this week from complications related to his diabetes.

Mr. Kanyama penned…

I halted what I was doing to attend to the young man when my PA Lungowe Libasi (ZSIC) informed me that he genuinely wanted to see me. Always pay attention to those who are clear on their goals.

‘My name is Felix Banda,’ he went on to introduce himself. ‘I have a vision and a dream. I have something to offer the country. But I have no name. All I ask for is that you allow me to ride on your name,. I know I can establish myself and achieve my dream. For example, if you just give me a minute on your Premium Business programme, I can anchor myself.’

People with guts, a dream, and a vision always find doors opening to them in the world. Felix Banda’s influence began on that day. I did nothing to him other than present him with a chance, which he took full advantage of.

Imagine that it was successful for him because he anchored himself to my name, which had many flaws and limitations and was imperfect and susceptible. What’s more, if you lean on the LORD God to raise you? He declared, “Truly, I say to you, I am going to the Father,” and added, “Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.” John 14:12.

Brothers, while we mourn Galamukani, I want to implore Zambia’s youth to be courageous like him. Through simple faith, he created a wonderful life for himself and his family. May the LORD enable you to realize your aspirations as well!
