The minister of fisheries and livestock, MAKOZO CHIKOTE, has warned his staff not to cut corners when providing services to farmers.
The livestock and fishing industries, according to Mr. CHIKOTE, can only develop if everyone cooperates.
He asserts that the government will not put up with employees that make it challenging for farmers to use government programs and services.
During a gathering with employees from his ministry and farmers in the Luampa district, Mr. CHIKOTE made this statement.
Mr. CHIKOTE, who is also a member of parliament for Luampa, has criticized the district’s farmers for eating livestock that the government gave them as a kind of empowerment.
In order to enhance their livestock population and produce money, he advised farmers to use the livestock empowerment initiative as a productive asset.
