The Zambia Agricultural Research Institute (ZARI) has created a maize seed variant that is resistant to fall army worms.
The seed variety, according to Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI, would aid in boosting the region’s maize production.
When he presided over the annual Msekera Research Institute field day, Mr. PHIRI was speaking.
Additionally, GIBSON MANDA, the programs officer for the Msekera Research Institute, has urged farmers to take a strong interest in attending field days in order to advance their farming abilities.
