According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development, Chiefdoms that span two or more electoral districts may want to think about receiving funding from CDF allocations to build chief’s palaces.
Charles Milopi, minister of infrastructure, says constituencies might decide to use CDF funds to build palaces for local chieftains.
The project, according to Mr. MILUPI, is comparable to Constituencies that are connected by water bodies and require bridges to be built using CDF monies.
In the National Assembly, Mr. MILUPI made this statement in answer to a query from Bwacha Member of Parliament SYDNEY MUSHANGA, who wanted to know if Constituencies located throughout a Chiefdom might contribute funds from the CDF to build Chief Palaces.
