Intercity Bus Terminus & Kulima Tower Bus Station are still under the responsibility of the local authorities, according to Local Government Permanent Secretary Technical Services, Nicholas PHIRI.

This comes after media reports claiming that political party operatives had taken control of the two bus stops.

The local authority has not ceded control of the two bus terminals to cadres, according to Mr. PHIRI.

When he went to the two bus stations in Lusaka, the Permanent Secretary made this statement.

Mr. PHIRI expressed his admiration for the increase in bus station revenue from 10.5 million Kwacha in 2019 to 17 million Kwacha this year.

However, he gave the local government the order to begin publishing monthly updates on the administration of public places, such as markets and bus stops.
