Deal for K1.1 million in training by TEVETA

The Industrial Training Centre (ITC) and Kagem Mining Limited have inked a training agreement with the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) for earth moving equipment operators.

300 workers will benefit from the training, which will cost roughly 1.1 million Kwacha.

The government’s commitment to boosting mining sector output is anticipated to benefit from the training.

The 300 earth moving equipment operators who will be trained will also assist in meeting the growing need for skills in the mining, agriculture, and construction industries.

The tripartite skills training contract was signed by LLOYD MBASELA, principal of ITC, WESLEY CHISHIMBA, head of human resources at Kagem Mining, and TEVETA director general CLEOPHAS TAKAIZA.
