Following a dog bite, a six-year-old kid from Lusaka’s Mtendere Township passed away from suspected rabies.
On December 21, 2022, the youngster known as BIDON JERE Junior was bitten by the neighbor’s dog and taken to the Mtendere clinic.
He was recommended for treatment to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) by the clinic.
According to the boy’s father BIDON JERE, the boy began acting strangely and began chewing clothes, bed sheets, and everything else that came his way. This is according to acting Zambia Police spokesperson DANNY MWALE.
According to Mr. MWALE, this was going on from the time the youngster was admitted to the hospital on January 30, 2023, until his passing.
He declared that a postmortem will be performed to determine the precise cause of death.
