Farmers in Kasenengwa will receive climate-smart agriculture solutions

In order to give farmers in the area access to climate smart agriculture technologies, Chitetezo Cooperative Federation has joined with Accelerated Effects for Climate Research for Africa.

The Federation will create radio and television programs in local languages that will give farmers access to the right climate smart agriculture technologies.

Chitetezo Federation chairperson ESTHER ZULU said the radio and television programs’ debut in Kasenengwa area marked the start of a campaign to protect the region’s natural riches.

According to BERNARD CHUNGU, an agricultural officer for the Eastern Province, radio programs will give farmers access to crucial information.

Radio programs, according to Chief Chanje of the Chewa tribe, will complement the conservation efforts being made in the province by Community Markets for Conservation COMACO.
