Patient Relatives Want A Larger Mothers Shelter

Several family members of patients at the Livingstone University Teaching Hospital who are awaiting admission have asked the government to build a larger mother’s refuge there.

The hospital’s mother’s refuge, according to ELLESCA SHALA from Mulobezi District, is too small to accommodate patients and their loved ones.

She told reporters in Livingstone that the former mourners’ shelter is today providing housing for certain out-of-town relatives of hospital patients.

Moreover, DOROTHY KATUNGA of Nyawa Village in the Kazungula district claimed that the old mourner’s shelter’s hygienic conditions are unfavorable.

The issues they have witnessed motivated the students to visit the mother’s shelter, according to UCZ students’ Fellowship Convener JAMES KAUNDA, a medical student at Mulungushi University.

As this is going on, UCZ Coillard Congregation In-charge, ISAAC CHIPAPALA has urged residents of Livingstone to imitate the student’s gesture, which he claimed is difficult for the church as well.
