The government has been urged to offer scholarships and bursaries to students attending private universities by the Private Colleges and Universities Alliance (PRICUA).
According to PRICUA Secretary General LACKSON BANDA, the action will not only improve postsecondary education but also help private universities remain financially viable.
He addressed today in Lusaka during a press conference.
The issuance of loans to students at public universities, according to PRICUA Chairperson CHARLES MWAPE, is consistent with the effort to actualize universal access to education.
Professor MWAPE added that this is consistent with the UPND administration’s pledge to offer free education at all levels throughout the campaign.
