Students at the University of Zambia (UNZA), according to the Higher Education Loans and Scholarship Board (HELSB), will begin receiving meal subsidies after April 14, 2023.
According to HELSB Senior Corporate Communications Officer CHISELWA KAWANDA, after registering with the loans Board, the approximately 10,000 students at UNZA who are covered by student loans will begin collecting their meal allowances.
In a phone interview with ZNBC News, Ms. KAWANDA stated that registration began on March 20 and that after April 14 all pupils who would have registered would begin collecting their allowances.
She stated that students who failed to register by the deadline will only receive their meal reimbursement after completing the registration process.
Both new and returning students must register with the loans Board, according to Ms. KAWANDA.
