HH dates Copperbelt for 5 day work visit

The Copperbelt will host President Hakainde Hichilema for a five-day business visit starting tomorrow.

The President of State is anticipated to arrive at Ndola’s Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe Airport and then take part in the youth day festivities at Kitwe’s Arthur Davies Stadium.

President Hichilema will attend to a range of issues pertaining to the province, according to Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Kasongo, who verified the Presidential schedule.

“The President will engage the people in the province on a number of issues and challenges that people are facing in the province. The Head of State is also expected to attend the Provincial party meeting at Moba hotel in Kitwe and other activities are also lined up for him,” he said.

He said that when President Hichilema arrives, he will grace the youth day celebrations at Arthur Davis stadium in Kitwe and will later also lay wreaths at the Freedom Statue.

“I urge youths to put up good behavior because it’s is their day and so they should celebrate themselves in a good manner. Let the youths desist from violence as well because the New Dawn Government does not encourage such,” he said.
