The late leader of the Mashombe Blue Jeans Band, NEBERT MASHOMBE, has been urged by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to be emulated by musicians in the Southern Province for his perseverance in the music business.
The President referred to Mr. MASHOMBE as a legend in the music business while being represented at his funeral by Pemba District Commissioner OBEY HABEENZU.
The passing of Mr. MASHOMBE would continue to be a loss for the music industry in the area, Southern Province Arts and Cultural Officer MOSES MILIMO informed the audience.
The many traditional tunes that Mr. Mashombe, who passed away earlier this week, recorded on handcrafted instruments, will be remembered for.
