Police have detained a 23-year-old suspect from the Kalundu neighborhood of Lusaka West in connection with the suspected murder of a couple named Bernard Chomba & Bwalya Chileshe that allegedly took place between November 19, 2022, and November 22, 2022 in the Kasupe neighborhood of Lusaka West.
According to deputy police spokesperson Danny Mwale, officers have also found a car, a Toyota Spacio with the license plate ADD 5815 silver in color, a television set, a refrigerator, two computers, and three cell phones that are thought to be belonging to the dead.
According to Mr. Mwale, the suspect, who served as the deceased’s gardener, also directed police to the owner of the truck used to transport the stolen household goods from the scene of the crime to the location where he was captured.
“He is in Police Custody while investigations have continued,” he said
