Zambia has requested assistance from the Italian government in its ambitions to establish an international arbitration center.

The Italian Organization of Arbitration has a program aimed at African nations for the promotion of mediation in Mediterranean and African countries, according to ENRICO DE AGOSTINI, the Italian ambassador to Zambia.

When the Italian Envoy visited Justice Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE at the Ministry in Lusaka today, he made this statement.

And Mr. HAIMBE claimed that by creating a mechanism that lets the business community know they have a safe haven, the establishment of an arbitration center aims to promote commercial partnerships.

He adds that the government aims to create a setting in which visitors from other nations can come to Zambia and take advantage of the different opportunities the nation offers.
