Jito is one of 50 African Trailblazers nominated for Afri50 award

Jito Kayumba is one of the 50 African Trailblazers nominated for the upcoming month's Afri50 award.

Jito Kayumba, the special assistant to President Hakainde Hichilema of ZAMBIA, is one of 50 African Trailblazers up for the award at the upcoming Afri50 ceremony.

President Hichilema’s Special Advisor for Finance and Economic Investment is Mr. Kayumba.

He is well recognized for founding private equity in Zambia while working as a partner at Kukula Capital, a venture capital company he ran for roughly ten years alongside Danish partners.

Afri50 is a brand-new award that will honor 50 African trailblazers, according to the African Trailblazer website. The first-ever awards ceremony is scheduled for May 1, 2023, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Sadio Mane, a football player for Bayern Munich and a Senegalese national, is one of the nominees for the Afri50 Award. He is well-known for both his sporting prowess, which has earned him numerous honors, and his passion for community development, which has led him to build schools, hospitals, among other donations to Senegal. On the field and in Senegal’s community development sector, Sadio Mane is a game-changer.

Dr. Nevers Mumba, a former vice president, will be one of the distinguished guests who presents the awards and the Afri50 certificate of distinction.
