Kaizer Arranges For Habeas Corpus

Former State House Political Advisor KAISER ZULU has been ordered by the Lusaka High Court to file a writ of habeas corpus following his imprisonment after receiving bail.

This is in light of the application that Mr. ZULU submitted.

On December 2, 2022, Mr. ZULU asserted that the KAFUE Magistrate Court had given him bail.

He asserted that immigration agents at the Lusaka Central Correctional Facility detained him shortly after his release and insisted on taking him to their headquarters for an interrogation.

According to Mr. ZULU, his lawyers later instructed him to be transported to Care for Business Hospital because he was ill.

He has stated that he was transferred back to LUSAKA Central Prison, where he is still being held, after being released from Care for Business Hospital.

Charges of assault and conversion that do not constitute theft in violation of Section 291 of Chapter 87 of the Penal Code and Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia have been brought against Mr. ZULU.
