Kaunda Square in Lusaka is getting a new sewer project

The government has allocated K15. 5 million for the renovation of the restrooms at Kaunda Square Township in Lusaka.

The renovation would be classified as an emergency job to alleviate the region’s ongoing sewerage issues, according to Water Development and Sanitation Minister MIKE MPOSHA.

The initiative will also see the replacement of sewer pipes from 6 inch to 10 and 15 inch pipes, according to Mr. MPOSHA, who is also the Munali Member of Parliament.

In certain areas of the township, he claims, the Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company will replace some damaged manholes as part of the construction.

Since then, the Minister has issued a warning to all citizens to stop dumping trash since it clogs the sanitary system.
