Since yellow maize grown locally is the main raw material used to make cornflakes, the company is dedicated to assisting smallholder farmers by offering security through an out-grower program, increasing their incomes through improved market price adjustments on necessary raw material crops, introducing technology and best practices to promote skill development, enhancing competitiveness, and enhancing environmental sustainability. We have projected a guaranteed market for the maize from the farmers, increases in the creation of local jobs, the generation of tax revenues, and the augmentation of foreign exchange savings with the production capability and need of 3.6 million tons of maize per year.
