Livingstone Seeks A Good Return

According to predictions made by RWINNICK MAPANZA, chair of the Livingstone District Cooperative Union, the tourism hub would see a bountiful crop of maize in the 2022–2023 growing season.

According to Mr. MAPANZA, the good rains and farmers’ good management would lead to a crop yield of about 90%.

According to Mr. Mapanza, a number of farmers in the district have started growing cash crops, which is a sign that they have begun diversifying.

He claimed that as contrast to the past, when farmers just grew foods for consumption, they are today treating farming as a business by cultivating cash crops.
