ITULAWAMI ISONGA, the director of health for the Kalumbila District, is concerned about the rise in drug theft in the district’s medical institutions.
According to Dr. Isonga, the district still reports instances of theft at medical facilities.
According to him, this has caused a medication scarcity at the majority of the district’s healthcare facilities.
Speaking at the handover of the Kalumbila District Health office Administration Block, Dr. Isonga claimed that due to the theft cases, medical professionals avoid working in the Kalumbila District.
As for the theft at medical facilities, North Western Province Permanent Secreatry GRANDSON KATAMBI claims to be aware of it.
