Nkandu Calls For Transparency In Selection Of National Teams

Minister of Sports ELVIS NKANDU says his office has received complaints over the selection of players to represent the country in several sports.
According to NKANDU, the objections are more pronounced when football players are chosen to play for the national soccer squad.

According to him, he has subsequently contacted FAZ to make sure that every deserving player receives a shot, regardless of where they are.
According to NKANDU, Zambia is more than just Lusaka and the Copperbelt, so it is important to give everyone a chance.

He claimed it will be challenging to produce powerful national teams if players are only chosen from Lusaka and the Copperbelt.

According to him, the government wants players in locations like Kaoma, Ikelengi, Choma, and Kaputa to have the same opportunity as those in Lusaka to be selected for the national team if they match the requirements.
