Pabi Moloi is to replace Faith Mangope as lunchtime host on Power 98.7. Moloi who has been with the station for the past 10 years will transition from being the host of Power Weekend Breakfast to becoming the new host of Power Lunch, which airs on weekdays from noon to 3pm. The radio presenter says she is excited about the opportunity.
“I’m excited. The transition from one space to another over the years at Power 98.7 has been inspiring for me. I always wanted to move from music radio to talk radio and Power 98.7 gave me that opportunity.”
“Anchoring the weekend breakfast show has been unbelievably eye-opening and challenging. I really had to dig from the inside out, not just because of the early call time, but expanding who I am as a broadcaster, and so I think it’s the perfect and natural next step,” she said during an interview on Power Breakfast with Thabiso Tema.
Speaking about the changes which take effect on April 1, Power 98.7 MD James Shikwambana said: “The station built an internal pool of talent that always rises to the occasion.
