Parking Problem In Lusaka Cbd

Residents of Lusaka have urged the government to solve the issue of a lack of parking spaces in Lusaka’s CBD.

Many vehicles were parked in undesignated spaces, according to a ZNBC news investigation of Freedom Way, Cairo Road, and some other important road networks inside the CBD.

According to driver PETER MBEWE, the issue has resulted in lawlessness as people have started parking their cars on the artificial islands that were built to enhance the city’s aesthetics.

The government will soon take action to address the issue, according to Local Government Minister GARRY NKOMBO, and this will begin with the eviction of auto dealers whose vehicles are always parked in spaces.
