Petauke Expecting Good Harvest

Due to the swift response to concerns of army worms, Petauke District Commissioner MARTHA MULENGA is confident about a successful agricultural harvest in the 2022–2023 farming season.

Only few fields, according to Ms. MULENGA, were impacted, and the District Agricultural Officer immediately took care of them.

According to her, prompt distribution of available chemicals to impacted farmers helped save the crop.

According to Ms. MULENGA, the district would be home to a sizable milling facility run by the Zambia Correctional Service within the next two years.

She claims that because the factory will deliver mealie meal to every district in Eastern Province, prices will go down.

Ms. MULENGA claimed in Petauke that because the area produces the most maize, farmers will also find a market for their goods.
