PF To Be Held Responsible For KCM And Mopani, Per UPND Official

The destruction of the KCM and Mopani mines should be held accountable, according to UPND Chairman for Mines PERCY CHANDA.

According to Mr. CHANDA, the investigating wings should detain everyone accountable for improperly managing the two mines’ operations and accuse them of economic sabotage.

Instead of protesting, he claims the PF should apologise to the Copperbelt residents.

The same individuals who destroyed the two mines, according to Mr. Chanda, will NOT be permitted to start agitating people on the Copperbelt.

According to him, UPND members have refrained from making statements on Mopani and KCM because they are confident that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and his staff will soon be able to open the two mines.

Miners and Zambians in general are being teased and provoked by PF, Mr. Chanda has warned.

He claims that the miners are all-too-aware that PF’s lawlessness wrecked Mopani and KCM.

According to Mr. CHANDA, the government has been working extremely hard in the background to turn the situation around for the benefit of the people of Zambia.

The party on the Copper Belt will come to an end when important announcements regarding the two mines are made, according to him, and Zambians are aware that PF is in a panic.

EMMANUEL MWAMBA, the deputy chairperson for information and publicity for the Patriotic Front, has urged the government to address the unresolved problems at the Mopani and Konkola Copper Mines.

This, according to Mr. MWAMBA, comes as a result of the PF administration handing them over to the State.

He claims that the Copperbelt residents are becoming anxious due to the delay in fixing problems at the two mines.
