Legal professionals in the nation have been urged by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to work with the administration to restore the rule of law.
In order to maintain law and order in the nation, according to President HICHILEMA, the administration respects the rule of law and looks forward to a relationship with the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ).
The President gave a speech today in Livingstone at the 10th LAZ-annual law conference’s ceremonial launch.
The President said that attorneys must assist in educating their clients about the fact that the legal system will not be biased based on status or ethnicity.
The administration has made headway in changing some laws, according to Justice Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE, who spoke at the same ceremony.
Additionally, President HICHILEMA was hailed by LAZ President LUNGISANI ZULU for abolishing the death penalty and implementing new laws against slandering the president.
