Rainfall increases as the Victoria Falls curtain widens

If the flash floods persist, the National Heritage Conservation Commission (NHCC) predicts that the Victoria Falls in Livingstone will be full by mid-February.

The water level at the Livingstone natural wonder has risen, with the water curtain covering more than half of the falls, according to NHCC Acting Regional Director for the South West Region Richard Mbewe.

According to Mr. MBEWE, the improved rainfall patterns are what led to the higher levels.

He claimed that as of right now, the Knife Edge bridge at the location had more water sprays than usual for mid-February.

Mr. MBEWE has urged Zambians to travel to and take in the wonder of the Victoria Falls.
