Together with the eight Croatians, GLORIA Sakulenga, a senior immigration officer in Ndola, has been accused with attempted child trafficking.
Three days after being re-arrested, eight alleged child traffickers from Croatia showed up in court.
The eight Croats were detained by the Ndola Regional Immigration Office on Tuesday, just a day after the court dismissed the case against them for allegedly trafficking four Congolese children.
“The Croats re-appeared yesterday, 10th February, 2023 and have been jointly charged with Senior Immigration Officer, Gloria Sondoyi Sakulenga, based at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe Immigration Office, for attempted trafficking in Children contrary to Section 3A (1) as read with Section 12 of the Anti-Human Trafficking Act No. 11 of 2008 as read with the Anti-Human Trafficking (Amendment) Act 2022,” Department of Immigration public relations officer Nshinka Namati said in a statement
