“Settlement Of Succession Disputes Outside Of Court”

The government has urged traditional figures to resolve their succession disputes amicably.

Permanent Secretary responsible for administration at the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development According to MAAMBO HAAMAUDU, it is crucial that Royal Establishments settle traditional disputes amicably rather than taking them to court.

The government, he continued, is also concerned about the ongoing chiefdom boundary conflicts, which continue to hinder local development initiatives.

In Kabwe, Mr. HAAMAUDU was discussing the updated topographic features on the reproductions of the 1958 Chiefdom boundary maps with traditional leaders and other stakeholders.
