Sweden Consideres Investing In Fish Feed In Zambia

The Swedish government has stated that it will assist the Zambian government in addressing issues related to the expensive price of fish feed in the nation.

The Swedish ambassador to Zambia, JOHAN HALLENBORG, claims he is now persuading investors from the private sector in his nation to fund the manufacturing of fish feed in Zambia.

When Mr. HALLENBORG visited MAKOZO CHIKOTE in his office in Lusaka, the minister of fisheries and livestock, he stated this.

And Mr. Chikote praised the Swedish government for the assistance, saying that the plans’ implementation will make fish feed more accessible to farmers at reasonable prices.

He listed the absence of fish feed and fish fingerlings as the two biggest obstacles keeping farmers from starting their own fishing operation.

Dan Walker, the chief executive officer of Clipper Line Limited, has meanwhile urged the government to keep an eye on fish imports since they pose a major threat to regional fish farmers.
