Two individuals were detained by LUSAKA police for posing as the local government minister GARY NKOMBO on social media.
Additionally, the individuals are accused of extorting millions of KWACHA from the people.
The suspects have been identified as SIMON MWALUBULO, 26, and JACKSON BANDA, 25, both of LUSAKA’s BAULENI Compound, said police assistant public relations officer GODFREY CHILABI.
The two, according to Mr. Chilabi, have been charged with impersonating and acquiring money under false pretense.
He has threatened to have cybercriminals arrested.
