Upnd Refuses To Sponsor Pf Disputes

The opposition Patriotic Front-PF has disputed charges made by the ruling UPND that it sponsored internal disputes within their party.

The national spokesperson for the UPND, Cornelius Mweetwa, said the PF shouldn’t bring the incumbent party into the matter of how the party is being governed.

The allegations made by the former ruling party, according to Mr. MWEETWA, show that they will not be able to thrive in the opposition.

At a news conference in Lusaka, he assured reporters that lawbreakers won’t receive any preferential treatment.

Conversely, Mr. Mweetwa claims that the recent detention by police of a number of prominent government officials and party members is a glaring example of the party’s dedication to respecting the law.

The UPND will NOT shield anyone found breaking the law, regardless of affiliation, according to CORNELIUS MWEETWA, the party’s national spokesperson.
